EU settlement scheme
How do I know what action to take to deal with the impact of Brexit?
What will the negotiations, decisions and possible outcomes mean for European Union (EU) nationals’ and their families’ status and right to live and work in the UK?
At Harbour HR, we are able to provide a bespoke service to any individual or organisation – helping guide them through the changes, address the implications, costs and common pitfalls of the process.
This includes ascertaining what category the individual and their family will qualify within, preparation and submission of the documentation necessary to secure the correct and appropriate status, and a dedicated account team member to answer specific enquiries.
We are also currently running clinics to provide specific advice on document preparation, the application process and implications to consider.
The EU Settlement Scheme is now fully functioning and in excess of 3 million applications have been made to date. The system allows EU nationals that are in the UK, or who enter the UK before the 31st December 2020 to apply for “settled status” or “indefinite leave to remain” (permanent residence) if they have already resided in the UK for five years or more. Alternatively, “pre-settled status” (leading to permanent residence) if they have resided in the UK for less than five years, which they can then extend to “settled status” or “indefinite leave to remain” after completing five years. The deadline for submitting an initial application is 30 June 2021.
Get in touch – we can help you identify your EU settlement status and application needs.
